Principal Enforcement Officer

Are you an experienced Private Sector Housing Enforcement Officer with a strong track record of CPN enforcement?
I’m supporting a London Local Authority that is looking for experienced enforcement officers to join its housing enforcement team.
The role will focus on Private Sector Housing enforcement and Civil Penalty Notices (CPNs) under the Housing Act. The council is looking for officers with genuine, hands-on enforcement experience who can confidently manage cases and gather the necessary evidence.
Key requirements:
- Proven Private Sector Housing enforcement experience
- Strong practical experience issuing CPNs
- Experience enforcing under the Housing Act
- Demonstrable track record of successful enforcement cases
- Experience gathering evidence through district-based visits
- Ability to independently manage enforcement cases
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Chartered EHO status is not essential where candidates can demonstrate strong practical enforcement experience
