I’m currently working with a Local Authority in Yorkshire that is looking to appoint an experienced Environmental Protection Officer on an initial 3-month contract, with a strong possibility of extension.
This role offers a hybrid working arrangement and would suit someone with a solid background in environmental protection and statutory nuisance investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate statutory nuisance complaints and environmental protection cases.
- Respond to pollution incidents and other environmental health issues.
- Carry out site inspections, investigations, and enforcement action where required.
- Provide professional environmental health advice and maintain accurate case records.
Requirements
- Qualified Environmental Health Officer or Chartered Environmental Health Practitioner.
- Previous experience dealing with statutory nuisance investigations and environmental protection work.
- Able to manage a diverse caseload and work independently.
