Enforcement Planning Consultant – Yorkshire

A local authority in the Yorkshire is looking for an Enforcement Officer to join their team on an initial 3 month basis with a view to extend.

About The Role

A local authority is looking for an Enforcement Officer to assist with a shortage in their team.

The client is looking for a candidate to conduct the following:

  • To own case load of Enforcement cases
  • Serving summons notices, stop notices and enforcement notices
  • Preparing evidence for hearings
  • Liaise with legal department and appear in hearings as expert witness
  • Attending site visits
  • Investigating breaches in planning control and non-compliance
  • Ensuring applications comply with Town and Country Planning Legislation and local planning policies
  • Have knowledge of Police and Criminal Evidence Act (PACE)

About The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be chartered by RTPI, or an equivalent qualification and on their way to accreditation. The client is happy to consider candidates with experience in planning legislation relating to enforcement, a clear written and verbal communication skill set, experience with negotiating enforcement breaches, experience of site surveys and local hearings. Applicants who are not chartered but have experience within the Planning field are welcomed to apply.
