Principal Policy Planner – Central England

About the role: 

A local authority are looking for a Principal Policy Planner to assist the Planning Policy team and Team Leader where necessary. 

The client are looking for someone to conduct the following:

Assist the Policy team with working on the Local Plan, prepare planning policy reports and background studies and to liaise with and advise the Development Management Team on planning policy issues, as required.

About the Candidate:

The ideal candidate:

- can work up to 37 hours per week for an initial period of 3 months (with potential to extend)

- may be required to attend the council offices once a week. The post is not suitable for wholly remote working.

- will have significant Planning Policy experience. The client is looking for candidates with expertise in the areas of housing land supply, and employment.

- will also have experience of giving evidence at a Local Plan examination.
