GIS Officer – East Midlands

A local authority in the East Midlands is looking for a GIS Officer to join their team on a 12-18 month contract.

About The Role

I am working with this client to find a GIS Officer to prepare the local plan policies maps. The  main responsibilities of the role would be setting up the policies maps for the Local Plan on Arcview GIS and setting up the ‘panes’ for printed copies of the Policies Maps.  You will also be mapping new policies and site allocations for the Local Plan into Arcview. This will culminate in amending the mapping layers following consultation in early 2025 and then, potentially again in early 2026 prior to adoption of the plan.

Office presence is flexible for the right candidate.

About The Candidate

The ideal candidate would need to be fully GIS competent on ArcView GIS and ideally have experience preparing Local Plan Policies Maps, or at least an understanding of requirements.
