Principal Planning Officer– Central England

A local authority in the East Anglia is looking for an Principal Planning Officer to join their team on an initial 6 month basis with a view to extend.

About The Role

A local authority is looking for a Principal Planner Consultant to assist with a shortage in their team.

The client is looking for a candidate to conduct the following:

As a Principal Planning Officer, you will manage a caseload of complex planning and related applications, including pre-application submissions, focusing on development managemen

Picking a handful of significant strategic applications consisting of a range of 80-100+ units including pre-applications and PPAs.

Applicants should have many years of development management experience, and expertise in focusing on large scale major applications, and complex minor applications. Additionally, they want someone who have experience dealing with planning issues and communicating these as committee and public meetings.

About The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be chartered by RTPI, or an equivalent qualification and on their way to accreditation. The client is happy to consider candidates with experience in planning relating to development management, a clear written and verbal communication skill set. Applicants who are not chartered but have experience within the Planning field are welcomed to apply.
