Job Description

A Local Authority is looking for a Junior Lawyer who specializes in contracts and procurement to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary, package, and hybrid working.

The Role

You will be responsible for all legal aspects of land and property and its ownership and to effect transactions for sale, purchase, and lease. You will provide high-quality advice on property-related matters and prepare s.106 agreements. You will be required to investigate titles and carry out inquiries, site inspections, and perusal of plans to assist with enquiries regarding land ownership and boundary problems. Furthermore, you will be responsible for maintaining the Council’s property records and for supervising the maintenance of the Council’s Land terrier.

The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be well-versed in contracts and procurement with experience in conveyancing and be able to provide advice on matters relating to land transactions.
