Planning Policy Team Leader – Central England

About the role: 

A local authority are looking for a Principal Policy Team Leader to assist the Planning Policy Manager and Head of Planning where necessary. 

The client are looking for someone to conduct the following:

Assist the Policy team with working on the Local Plan, prepare planning policy reports and background studies and to liaise with and advise the Development Management Team on planning policy issues, as required.

About the Candidate:

The ideal candidates:

- can work up to 37 hours per week for an initial period of 3 months (with potential to extend)

- may be able required to come to the Council Offices twice a week.

- will have extensive experience of working in a Planning Policy Team

- will have significant LPA experience of preparing a Local Plan up to and including an Examination.

- will also have experience of giving evidence at a Local Plan examination.

- will have CIL experience

- will be a chartered Town Planner
