Senior Planning Officer

A local authority in The South West is looking for a Senior Planning Officer to join their team on an initial 6 month basis with a view to extend.

About The Role

A local authority is looking for a Senior Planning Officer to assist with a backlog of applications

The client is looking for a candidate to come in and hit the ground running to deal with a caseload of complex minor and small major applications. They will be reporting into the team leader for the area, with some involvement in other areas Development Management teams. Due to the location of the authority, the candidate may be required to have a driver’s licence to conduct site visits more easily.

The role will be split between the office and home working however the client is open to flexible working arrangements for the right candidate.

About The Candidate

The ideal candidate will be chartered by RTPI, or an equivalent qualification and on their way to accreditation. The client is happy to consider applicants who are not chartered but have experience dealing with relevant planning applications.
