We’re currently looking for an experienced Trading Standards Investigator to join a Local Authority team in West London on an initial 6-month contract, with the potential for further extension as part of a wider 2–3-year enforcement strategy.
This is an opportunity for an experienced Trading Standards professional to support a multi-agency enforcement strategy, tackling counterfeit goods and complex investigations.
Key Responsibilities
- Investigate counterfeit goods and trading offences.
- Support complex investigations and enforcement activity.
- Contribute to investigations involving product safety.
- Work collaboratively with multi-agency partners.
- Gather evidence and support appropriate enforcement action.
- Apply broad Trading Standards knowledge to a range of investigations.
What we’re looking for
- Strong experience in Local Authority Trading Standards.
- Experience conducting complex investigations.
- Good knowledge of product safety and counterfeit goods.
- Strong investigative, communication and evidence-gathering skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a multi-agency team.
Experience in counterfeit goods investigations, product safety enforcement and complex cases would be particularly advantageous.
