Environmental Health Officer (Private Sector Housing) – Essex
I’m currently working with a Local Authority in Essex who are looking to bring in an experienced Private Sector Housing Officer on an initial 3-month rolling contract.
- Up to £50 per hour
- 2 days per week on site
- 3-month rolling contract
The role will involve a broad range of Private Sector Housing and enforcement work, including:
- HMO licensing
- HHSRS inspections and assessments
- Housing enforcement
- Investigating housing complaints
- Preparing statutory notices and enforcement documentation
- Working with landlords and tenants to achieve compliance
- Applying relevant housing legislation and enforcement powers
The successful candidate will need previous Local Authority Private Sector Housing experience, with strong knowledge of HMO licensing, HHSRS and housing enforcement.
