We are supporting a West Midlands Based Local Authority with the recruitment of an experienced Waste Services Improvement & Operational Resilience Consultant to support a key programme of service improvement across Waste Services.
This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced waste professional to improve operational performance, strengthen processes and support sustainable service delivery within a busy local authority environment.
The Role
The successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Supporting waste service transformation and improvement projects
- Reviewing and improving operational processes, governance and performance
- Developing and embedding SOPs and management systems
- Supporting Health & Safety improvements and safe working practices
- Producing improvement plans, reports and performance information
Requirements
To be considered, you will need:
- Extensive experience within Waste Services or a similar frontline operational environment
- Proven experience delivering service improvement and organisational change
- Strong understanding of waste operations, compliance and Health & Safety
- Experience developing procedures and improving operational performance
- Strong leadership, coaching and stakeholder management skills
- Local Government experience is desirable
Working Arrangements
- 6–12 month interim contract
- Full-time position
