Overview
Stonehouse Recruitment is currently supporting a South London Local Authority seeking an experienced Food Safety Officer to provide interim support within their Environmental Health team.
The successful candidate will support the council in delivering statutory food safety functions and ensuring compliance with food hygiene regulations.
Key Responsibilities
Carry out food hygiene inspections
Investigate food complaints and hygiene issues
Provide advice and guidance to food businesses
Ensure compliance with Food Safety and Hygiene Regulations
Undertake enforcement action where necessary
Maintain accurate inspection and case records
Requirements
Previous experience working within local authority Environmental Health
Competency to carry out food hygiene inspections
Strong knowledge of food safety legislation
Experience managing enforcement cases
Excellent communication and organisational skills
