Principal Planning Officer (Contract)
Location: Central England (Local Authority)
Contract Length: 3 months initially, with potential extension
Rate: £50-£60 per hour (Depending on Experience)
Start Date: ASAP
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead on strategic planning applications, including high-level pre-applications, appeals, and Planning Performance Agreements (PPAs)
- Manage a professional team of officers within the Development Management Team
- Drive corporate priorities, focusing on major regeneration projects, new housing, and town centre renewal
- Deliver objectives outlined in the Local Plan while working to develop the area’s future sustainably
